In order to quantitatively clarify the electrochemical reactions and to practically apply them to modern nanotechnology such as solar batteries, fuel cells, biosensors, and molecular devices, we are investigating the following two research topics:

1. Construction of Nano Interfaces
Using the Self-Assembling (SA) technique, molecules with several functionalities are arranged in order onto the solid surfaces and molecular devices such as solar batteries and biosensors are constructed.


2. Structural Analyses by X-ray Techniques Using SR Light
Using X-ray techniques such as surface X-ray scattering (SXS) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), structures at solid/liquid interfaces are investigated in situ with an atomic dimension.
